Breville USA Exterior LED Upgrade completed

After completing a full interior warehouse and office LED upgrade a few months prior, Energy Wise LED Solutions just completed the full exterior of Breville USA’s California headquarters and warehouse located in Torrance.

Seventeen (400w) High Pressure Sodium area lights on the front and sides of the building were replaced with highly efficacious (140lm/w) 150 watt LED luminaires and eight (1000w) High Pressure Sodium floods in the rear loading dock/trailer exchange area were replaced with 300 watt LED luminaires that delivered 27% higher light levels to the ground, while affording a staggering 70.2% energy savings. Calculated kWh savings for the year is projected at 50,965. Energy Wise LED Solutions completes LED Lighting retrofit for SG Elite Volleyball clubs’ new 50,000 SF practice/training facility. 

San Gabriel Elite Volleyball club in Los Angeles, CA is widely recognized as one of the top volleyball clubs in the country, year in and year out. Teams at SG Elite have earned medals at the Junior National level for the last 7 years running and have no plans of stopping that streak anytime soon.

Accordingly, expectations are very high all the way around, be it the coaching staff, the players, the training, or the facility itself. In August 2016, SG Elite decided it was time to expand from their longtime facility with 5 courts, to a larger facility right next door that would accommodate 7 courts. The timing and logistics to accomplish a move of this size even just next door are never ideal with tryouts, practices and training sessions virtually never ending.

Aside from needing new and additional sport court flooring, the existing facility lighting of the new and larger space was a critical issue that needed to be addressed. Antiquated, inefficient and poorly performing T8 fluorescent lighting without any guarding needed to be replaced and quickly.
